Message From The President

Dear Friends of De La Salle,

As the 120th school year of De La Salle Institute comes to a close, it is with much pride that I congratulate the Class of 2010 for a job well done during their high school career. Whether studying in our classrooms, serving in our communities or bonding together in learning, our graduating Meteors have many accomplishments to celebrate.

As a school community, we came together to recognize the academic achievements of the senior class. During public presentations in March, we marveled at the hard work and profound research conducted by Honors students for their Senior Dissertations, and later inducted new members into the National Honor Society on April 14. Fine arts scholars were praised during the Drama Awards on May 10 and various accolades for our seniors were honorably presented during Senior Awards Night on May 17.

As the buzz around campus heightened as the graduation ceremonies approached, these events remind us that graduating is a special rite of passage. From the list of top colleges and universities that our Class of 2010 members will be attending come this fall, I am deeply confident that our graduates will be living out their great futures thanks to the preparation they received with us at De La Salle.

At this time of year, our faculty, administration and staff come together in thanksgiving for the teamwork that provides us with another successful academic year. I extend my deepest gratitude to the many individuals and partners who make De La Salle the excellent, innovative and caring college preparatory high school that we are today, and that we have been for over 120 years.

May we all enjoy the summer months for a break in routine, but certainly not in learning. De La Salle will be alive with enrichment as the academic and athletic summer camps take off in full force. And even before we realize, our hallways will be bustling once again with the energy of students one year older, faculty one year wiser and each one of us excited for another outstanding year at school.

Congratulations, Meteors!

Live Jesus in our Hearts, Forever!
