The Women of D: Nicole Accomando

We are grateful for your contributions. Meet Nicole AccomandoShe is a School Counselor and Sophomore Class Moderator who began her career at De La Salle in 2014. “I work with students in regards to academics, social emotional issues, and assisting students with the college process. My day to day work varies depending on the needs of the students, but always encompasses those three domains of counseling.” Background and Journey to De La Salle“After graduating college from Eastern Illinois University, I was working as an administrator at a childcare center. After a year, I decided to go back to school and get my master’s degree in Counseling with the intention of becoming a high school counselor. I graduated with my MA in school and community counseling from Saint Xavier University in 2012 and completed my counseling internship at St. Rita. The Women of D are a vital part of our community. We are grateful for your contributions. Meet Mrs. Emily VogelShe is the Director of Campus Ministry. She has been at De La Salle since 2007. She facilitates programming for our Lasallian mission - retreats, Liturgy, service projects, social justice initiatives, Peer Ministry, Lasallian Youth, immersion trips, etc. She also teaches Honors Theology for Seniors. Background and Journey to De La Salle“I was an active Lasallian Youth member at my Lasallian high school in Kansas City, MO,” says Emily. “One of my most profound experiences in Lasallian Youth was at a regional summer gathering at Lewis University. We did some service in Chicago and a seed was planted. The Women of D: Mariann Ronzio

The Women of D are a vital part of our community. We are grateful for your contributions. Meet Mariann RonzioShe is the Business Office Manager at De La Salle and has been here since 1999. She describes her day-to-day as an opportunity to work with the “best of the best.” Ronzio adds that “when she began this journey 22 years ago, with the Business Office, my roll was Account Receivables. I was responsible for entering all money coming into the school. The primary source being tuition. Collecting tuition enabled me to become acquainted with many of our families and their students. Being able to work with and assist our DLS families has been one of the most rewarding experiences for me. As the many years went by, my roll changed to Business Office Manager, primarily responsible for Account Payables. The Women of D: Alison Duffy During the month of March, we are taking time to highlight several of our esteemed colleagues and reflect on all they do to ensure that De La Salle is a safe, vibrant, and wonderful institution of learning. The Women of D are a vital part of our community. We are grateful for your contributions. Meet Alison DuffyShe is a history teacher at De La Salle since 2019. She teaches all five sections of CP Freshmen World History. Background and Journey to De La SalleIn her own words, Duffy states that she “was first a music teacher for many years, as well as a French tutor. I taught English in public schools overseas for several years in Korea and France. Then I decided to switch to teaching history.
