Portrait of a Graduate Inspired by the life of Saint John Baptist de La Salle, patron saint of teachers, a graduate of De La Salle Institute Chicago, through their attitudes, actions and words, is:   A PERSON OF FAITH A De La Salle Institute graduate has faith in the presence of God; embraces the Christian values of love, respect, compassion and generosity; and actively nurtures their spirituality. Financial Aid & Scholarships

Catholic Education An Investment in the Future De La Salle Institute Chicago's Catholic High School Where Great Futures Begin Faith, Service and Community are key tenets of a Lasallian education and are representative of the letters that follow the name of a Christian Brother - F.S.C. - meaning Fratres Scholarum Christianarum. The De La Salle Brothers are a Catholic religious teaching congregation, founded in France by Jean-Baptiste de La Salle, the patron saint of teachers. Today, Saint de La Salle's educational movement spans the globe. We use the FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment (FACTS) to determine financial aid eligibility. The window for submitting completed financial aid applications opened on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. Families MUST apply online.  Families seeking financial assistance must fill out the FACTS Application if they wish to be considered for financial aid from us or any of our partner scholarship organizations. Approximately 80% of students receive financial aid or scholarships from De La Salle and over $2.3 million in aid was awarded to our students for the 2025-2026 school year!
